The infectious glitz and glamour of the Tony Awards take passed in typical New York fashion…fast! Fifty-fifty though the evening may have flown by in a cyclone of excitement, way, and flashing lights, the memories will remain with a select group of individuals and I'grand non referring to the winners.

The students of Mt. Paran High School approached Educational Travel Adventures final fall inquiring on a class trip to New York City. Going to New York is exciting enough when you travel with ETA, but Mt. Paran wanted the total Broadway feel. Challenge accepted! Not just did the students view the iconic Phantom of the Opera and the whimsical Matilda, students experienced a individual theater workshop with our friends at Believe NYC.

Believe NYC workshops offer students "Real Life" experiences in the globe of Broadway. If your group interests lie in Theater, Dance, Musical Theater, or fifty-fifty an orchestra, at that place is a workshop for you.  Believe NYC will immerse students into accurate scenarios, equipping students with experience to tackle auditions, casting calls, and many more obstacles that could come their style.  With instruction from working artists, students proceeds critical insight into the world of theater and all its working facets.

The students from Mt. Paran participated in non just i workshop just iii in total with the Believe NYC staff. Workshops focused on Musical Theater and specific acting techniques such equally Improv. The crown precious stone of Believe NYC would have to be  the twoscore-v minute one-adult female show that tells the story of a young girl's dream to be an actress and to get to New York City. Subsequently this inspiring functioning, students participate in a Mock Audition workshop.  The program ends with a Q&A session with the extra, composer and a surprise Broadway guest!

In addition to the Believe NYC feel the students of Mt. Paran partook in a one on i conversation or "Talk Back" with the cast of Matilda. Students and the audition have the opportunity to ask specific questions to the cast and coiffure of Matilda. The chances are ane volition walk away from the conversation with a better understanding of the crazy world of the Broadway professional.

The combination of the workshop and the talk back session could easily make whatever New York experience complete, but we had one more trick up our sleeves. Working closely with our New York partners, ETA secured sectional tickets to the 2014-2015 Tony Awards! The Mt. Paran students were in for an unforgettable evening.

The 69th annual Tony awards were held at the famous Radio City Music Hall. Housed in the one and simply Rockefeller Middle, the Radio City Music Hall is a true American Icon, that has withstand the tribulations of a speedily irresolute city, such as New York City. Opening to the public in 1932, Radio City has housed numerous productions, simply as of belatedly the Tony Awards has chosen the Radio City Music Hall it'south home.

Upon entering Radio City, Mt. Paran students were thrown into a world of vintage Fine art Deco design, that utilizes glass, aluminum, chrome and geometric ornamentation. The Radio City Music Hall was unique upon conception and now even more unique as its blueprint heralds back to a time of skyscrapers, large bands, and fedoras. The stage itself was designed by Peter Clark, the father of hydraulic lifts made for theater. Yous can say skilful bye to those old sand bags! Working seamlessly, the hydraulic system(the first of its kind) gave way to innovations beyond theater and into our own Navy. The Grand Stage it self represents a setting sunday. In the magic beneath this veiled sun, Mt. Paran students experienced history. They walk away with not only beingness a witness, but with a lasting impression, to fuel their Theater aspirations.
